I just got the first 2 eps from the US LD just because. I'm an x-files fan so i also wanted the cover. So seeing how the audio compares to the dvd will be a good test.
Good point about the LD payer, it'll go up in flames after capturing all these seasons, or if we at least did the first so many, maybe 4 seasons.

Looks like you have all of the US releases... I believe they only did those two-episode releases through season 4 if I'm not mistaken. I have those on VHS as well.

Out of curiosity... Did the LDs come with those little picture cards with the really cool and unique artwork like the VHS tapes did?

After all these months, no BD boxset around the globe has the italian tracks... a good reason to start this project (WHEN my PCs will be resurrected, or when I could afford a new one...)

Also, as the italian tracks on DVD are just 2ch 192kbps DD, I thought to capture the episodes I have on VHS - should find'em all, they are around 20 tapes, can't remember how many episodes per tape, three I guess, maybe four...

But, first of all, I'd like to test color regrading; someone got BDs (and, if possible, DVDs), and would/could rip few minutes from the first episode (and also from another of seasons 1 to 4)? Again, no rush to do that, just for info.

Today I decided to play the pilot on laserdisc; even if my old plasma TV is not calibrated, color grading seems to match almost perfectly the blu-ray, at least according to the page linked in the first post... I suspect the problem lies in the DVD...
