I wonder ... have you looked to the Siskel & Ebert 1982 review of Blade Runner with the clips they showed on the movie's release -- for theatrical color-cues?

The pink should be there. I'm pretty convinced the BD is merely a scanned IP that then was screwed over by some nut at Warner MPI as all they do is muck up archival releases with their processing. They never seem to check against any sources.

I apologize is this is mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but can you point to some resource that goes over what's wrong the archival BD (besides its color grading)? I'm a US theatrical cut fan, FWIW. Thanks!

For the archival disc it's really just the grading and 5.1 mix not being fully accurate. It's by no means bad or anything but just not what one wishes it would be.

PDB did a great job combining PCM from the International and DC LDs.  If necessary, a similar approach could probably reconstruct the US theatrical cut audio without the need for additional outlay, unless it's a question of completeness or the mix on that LD is somehow distinctive.  I quite like the US TC, too, partly because I think that the occluded violence when Batty kills Tyrell is more effective because less is seen.

I think this looks excellent from the last shots posted. I've always preferred the golden hue in the sky. It's how I remember it

I just saw this and realized that nobody mentioned the available 1080p Workprint that's available on the internet, around 8.24 GB. I think it's from a newer BluRay they released. Maybe it's not relevant for some reason I missed, but thought I'd leave this here.

I'm unaware of this, Is it just the AVC encode or some different master?
