I think MIGP is the only film to do that. Normally, it just switches between 2.35 and IMAX just like Dark Knight (or the other Nolan films and STID) but for the climb it opens open vertically into the IMAX frame. I read all about it online from the editor's blog and the HDTV seems to back that up. I decided to open up into the 1.77 frame to give this the approximately same feel.
In other news, jedeitor was nice enough to look at the logo from the frames I couldn't fix (since they were cut out of the Telemundo broadcast) and did a wonderful job removing it. Far better then what I had accomplished. I should of asked him to do the whole thing instead of patching it with another HDTV broadcast
