If it's super compressed it might not be worth the effort/resources to do a 4K cap/encode. Who knows, anyway there's no rush it's months until december  Wink

Well, since Fox did it with Independence Day... However, Warner did it with Unforgiven, Goodfellas, but not with the Nolans. So, there's no rule. We'll see.

And Sony are releasing their remaster of Dark Crystal on both 4K and Blu, while the new Groundhog Day issue is only available in a double set - new 4K and old Blu.

That's f***ed up. Groundhog exists in a "mastered in 4K" 1080p Blu-ray in Japan, if I remember correctly. And they did not even put it in the new release? A**holes!

Their defence would probably be that the BD disc is only there for the extras anyway.
