The LD looks better but that magenta look is clearly a mistake.
Is it me, or the LD footage is stabilised, whereas the DVD is not?

I would say vice versa: the LD is not stabilized, but more open matted, while the DVD use the additional matting to stabilize a bit more...

May you post also 50/50 mix? I'm pretty sure it would "cure" the sky color (magenta LD / teal BD), but I'm curious to see the last screenshot how it could turn out.

Thanks guys, that blue look is the reason I wanted to do this project. Its very cool (literally and figuratively)
Not sure how theatrically accurate it is and I'm guessing not much. One thing I will also do is try to balance out the beginning shots. Not only to minimize the magenta but also the fact the LD switches between warm shots and cool. Like the front seat shots are cool and the back seats shots with Ash are warmer and over saturated. I'll try to get that a little more consistent. Thanks given by: Stamper

I wanted to give some examples of the correction I'm doing to the daylight shots. Basically the removing the magenta/pink.
