I've never seen or previously heard of this movie. It looks interesting. Will definitely use your project as an excuse to check it out. Thanks.

I wouldn't say its the best movie in the world but I certainly enjoy it. It is unique for the time since it goes out of it way to try to subvert many of the standard fantasy troupes.

It's from that wonderful period where Disney didn't know what kind of studio they wanted to be so they decided to make creepy live action movies, like Black Hole, Something Wicked This Way Comes, etc. Dragonslayer was a co-production with Paramount which thought that it would be a great summer for them with this and Raiders of the Lost Ark, They were half right

Everyone is pretty good in it, with the usual veritable British actors adding weight to it. The story also flows pretty well but I'd be lying if I said the highlight was anything but the awesome dragon, Vermithrax Pejorative. I believe it used an early version of Tippett's go motion technique and man it's awesome, even now in this modern age.

Looks awesome PDB, I am very excited for this release.

I have, admittedly, had more problems with this project then I thought I would. I was able to remove the vertical lines but once removed the grain started looking odd from the blurred parts. Every fix brought a new problem but I think I have it working now....I think.

OK. Resurrecting this one...again. Instead of releasing as is or graded to the LD, I'm making this part of my CRT project. That puts it half way between the red of the HDTV and the green/yellow of the LD. I'm overall satisficed that I was able to fix the vertical lines as best as I can.

That's a really good job. The new colors are far more fantastic and suite better the movie.
I've never noticed those weird lines. How did that pass to be release, I know it wasn't a recent release but still. Anyway it's very impressive
