Harry Potter - extended editions

I have the Freeform versions of all 7 films recorded on my DVR and I may attempt to capture them to my PC.

Where are the existing captures out there available?

Freeform is going to show all 8 Harry Potter movies in extended edition on 13-15 October.

HP 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 are available at the moment, but HP 1, 2, 5 are missing, so it would be nice to have them recorded. Anyone?

Hello, everyone. Freddy recommended this forum to me and I just joined this morning.

As it happens, I have recently been working on my own set of extended editions for the Harry Potter movies. At this point, I have versions of each of the films with stereo audio. At some point, I would like to go back and redo the audio in 5.1 format. There are some scenes that I have not included either due to them not fitting well in the film or due to them being incomplete. These are the scenes I have not included:

Order of the Phoenix:
* Trelawny scene during the Feast while Umbridge speaks.

Deathly Hallows Part 1:
* Full scene of the Dursleys leaving. I have redone the intro and included the Dudley/Harry handshake, but not the full scene.
* The scene where Hermione's house is searched

Deathly Hallows Part 2:
* The green screen bridge scene
* The CGI snake scene

I also have all 8 of the FreeForm versions on my DVR hard drive and can work to pull them off into digital form if needed by anyone. I'm looking forward to being part of this community and helping where I can.

I just ordered a capture card, so hope to start moving my recordings over soon.

HBO has secured the rights starting in 2018. They may air commercial free/watermark free open-matte versions of the films. Not sure if they will be extended or not.

Since spoRv has a lot of work to do with his projects I've decided to make the extended editions based on the Freeform versions.

Can someone record all 8 movies from HBO January 1 (maybe in 1080i/1080p, I don't know what format they use) and send them to me? I'd like to use those if they have no ads, logos, pop-ups etc and are open matte/pan&scan. I live outside the US so I'm not able to record them.

I've already edited every additional scene (color corrected them).

I received an email from HBO the other day talking about HP coming to the service and that they would be “unedited” for whatever that’s worth... also I don’t have anyway to record HBO because those channels are encrypted....

In that case is there a way to rip the movies from HBO Go?

I plan to record all of them from HBO. I have an HDFury Integral which can strip HDCP, so I plan to capture them from the DVR.

I think broadcast HBO is 720p or 1080i, HBO Now/Go may be full 1080p though...

There are a couple shots in the trailers that didn't make the final cut of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince:

- One during the marsh chase scene, wherein Ginny loses her wand (even though they cut this out, you can still see in the film that she picks it back up!)
- Snape saying, "It's over..." after assassinating Dumbledore.

I have the Apple Trailers encodes for both in 1080p, and can provide them to whoever is working on the project now; neither have Apple watermarks fortunately, and both have 5.1 mixes, so the background music can be removed by just using the center channel. The video quality is a little rough, but apparently the "Ultimate Edition" Blu-ray of the film has all the film's trailers (probably at a higher bitrate). I believe I have a friend who has it, so I can ask him to double-check and maybe grab the video from that release if these shots seem worth including.
