I've completed a composite version of the RIC in 720p. I have built 5.1 audio for the new scenes that were only ever in stereo or more likely mono on the broadcast. The original release of the RIC has a low bitrate ac3 file, so 5.1 DTSHD-MA is a marked step up.
If anyone with a surround sound set up would like a preview and can offer feedback on the mix, let me know. I only have stereo speakers, so I would like a second opinion before I release the edit to the masses.

Good news, Booshman! Can't wait until the finished product. Have a surround system but they're probably more able/discerning listeners 'round these parts than me.

I'll take what I can get to be honest. After many requests for updates over at the OT and on Myspleen, I finally have it ready to go and nobody appears to be bothered.
I posted over a week ago on the OT and have yet to be responded to.

^ In that case, I'll happily take a look. Like Falcon, I am eager to see your work; the only reason I didn't reply is that I have only a stereo amp.

Hi Booshman,
I saw the RIC you mentioned, another excelent project just like the others you did. A few things remain unclear to me until now...
I found the RIC in 4:3 in an older copy, yet the whole thing appears to be a VHSRip (8 GB is the total size).
Your file, however, has 16 GB in 720p, in a mixture of 4:3 scenes in this quality and others that probably only exist as VHSRips.
So what do you mean by "composite version"? Did you just pick the DVD or BD in Widescreen and cut the image into 4:3, then combined with these scenes in low quality?
I think there's only one official 4:3 version from the theatrical cut: it's from the LASERDISC.
Another thing that caught my attention was the runtime. In the 8 GB file it is 2h25m59s. Your file, on the other hand, has 2h31m08s.
