Well not waste but taking time away from the other two which felt more important. But you never know, I might go back to it. I already had a ton of work done on it.
I just think that the DC, minus the unicorn, plus the censored shots from the IC, would be pretty much the best version of the film and what should've been released theatrically back in '82. Technically I could make such an edit myself, and I might, but I was just looking forward to what you would do with the color on it as well (and if you did it I wouldn't have to, Wink). It's great to see you're getting these old projects finished though, and it's your choice how you accomplish that.
Finest kind.

The DC LD skews closer overall to the official BDs than the CC LD. Its roughly somewhere in the middle of the CC LD and BD. Regardless it still has a few sequences that push the CC LD's look much further than what's on the CC LD.

Nice result! It's got that golden look without taking on a reddish tint.

This looks really great. The true colors are distinctly visible & evident now. Overall picture seems more natural by removing those blue-ish tint. Great job.

The strange thing is that in the very next scene when Deckard talks to Byrant, both the DC LD and BD agree 100% that the characters should have the orange tint. It's the exact same color timing for both.

It's odd the DC LD has the one (orange) look straight through but the BD switches from the blue tint to the orange tint.

The DC LD is still darn impressive and overall is my favorite appearance on home video for being natural.
The best I've ever seen the film look is the 1992 DC print which is just stunning and with no issues whatsoever.

The only problem is it misses the IC violent bits. That's it.

Its a very pretty LD.

So I'm going through a lot of my old IC grade to tighten it up and I'm running into a minor problem. I have three captures of the Criterion LD done by three different people on different equipment. One is a cap I did. As I've always known, analog capture is as much art as science. To wit, two of the captures I have, tend green and the other red-ish. I'd say half of the time it doesn't matter they are close enough, 25% of the time I can hit a point in between but that leaves me with the rest. That's where the difference is enough that I have to make a choice.

So, in general I'm tending to the green since it makes the blues less purple. It is also the same person who did the (only) DC cap for my so there is consistency.
