[Proposal] Daredevil (2003) Theatrical Cut HD
#1
I know it's not a classic but is there any interest in a HD Theatrical cut? It seems the only official HD release has been the Director's cut (even on DVHS)

I've got a 1080i HDTV cap of the theatrical cut, it shouldn't be too much work to return the TC scenes into the official Blu, synced to the DVD's DTS/AC3 (or possibly the cinema DTS).

I thought about it since a long time, so I'd say... DO IT! Big Grin

It will be great to get a multilanguage edition - you may ask for help for other members here for foreign audio and subs tracks... I can provide Italian ones!

Sure, the TC is short enough to allow multiple language tracks on a BD25 and keep a healthy bitrate. I've got a bunch of stuff to cap from my tivo box but I'll grab this first.

I have this on 35MM film but have never had the resources or the assistance to scan it and get it out there.

That's a cool thing to have Fo. 35mm prints don't come up too often in the UK and they're generally big bucks for something worth having. I imagine they're a chore to send overseas as well (never mind the customs side of it).

Just a quick update, the edit work is done and I'm about ready to do the final encode. So far audio/subtitle tracks wise I have (From the R1 DVD):

English 5.1 AC3, DTS
Director and Producer Audio Commentary
Spanish 2.0 AC3
French 2.0 AC3
English, Spanish, French subtitles

If anyone wishes to add additional languages (preferably synced to the R1 DVD) let me know.

I have cinema DTS audio for the Theatrical release. It has to be decoded, edited together, and sync'd.

Got the Italian PAL DVD (99m) with Italian DTS and AC3. It will be great if you can add the DTS track!
