The balance are good, but you need to add something that makes the film look stylish and not just regular video. DH3 had some sort of golden tinge that made the "style". It's wrong on video, but I'm sure you can make it work in your version. The 35 trailer stills certainly show this.
To me, it's doesn't match. The "summer in the city" landscape shots maybe, at best, but the rest, no.
This is a better match: https://fanrestore.com/thread-1711-post-...l#pid35258 Compare the 2 shots of McClane on the phone in the precinct. They don't resemble each other. Cobb on the phone doesn't either. The Cinergi logo is way too dark blue instead of being light cyan. It's like 2 different lighting were used, as if 2 DPs worked on the film. Weird.

Still scanning the first trailer I got, hoping the second shows up this week:
I might see it again on 35mm on December 29th at the same theater. If some of you guys are in Paris then, go to the Forum des Images on December 29th at 9:15 pm.

The whole 35mm movie is on eBay atm: https://www.ebay.com/itm/35mm-Feature-Fi...SwiHpaELq3
Has 3 low resolution scans in the images too, which might be of a little help?

In 2 days, in Paris, France, if any of you guys are there for the holidays, go to the Forum des Images this Friday 29th of December at 9:15 pm. It won't be a huge theater with a large screen, but it will be cheap and even cheaper with my card: 4 €uros for my +1, +2, +whatever. Anybody interested? Stamper maybe? |
