We're you also a member on OT?

where can i request someone to work on fan projects then? reason i ask is the movie is oop and is a dated transfer.

The Italian 4k Blu Ray is from a brand new transfer. Just buy that one. It includes English language and even an open matte version. The link on amazon has already been posted.

There is nowhere to officially request this as it's not a done thing. But you already know this.

And with the request subforum it is more, if someone is doing a project, and he needs some kind of help, like advices, reviewing of stuff or maybe some resources, like if he try to find a lost scene, that was included on a rare release, this is the place.

Nobody ever does some work just because someone requested that someone does a whole lot of work that requires months of work and resources like some thousands of dollars.

And always remember:
- Sources for a proper 4K scan are not easy to find, and sometimes expensive, IF avaliable somewhere.
- Scanning a Film is not easily done.
- Restoring and mastering are also not done in just a few hours.

So yeah, I have to admit, it would be nice to have all Versions of that movie mastered properly in 4K, along with Night and Day, but I assume that it is far beyond a fan project.

It would certainly be a great project Smile

I don't think jedimasterplo is a real person, and is a character created by another member for when they are bored and wish to troll.

No, it's definitely jedimasterobiwan from OT.com - who has been banned from OT.com for constant pestering of exactly this sort.

Yes. It's why I asked if he was a member off OT earlier in the thread.
I thought over on OT that he was a another member who was trolling.

I don't want to talk about jedimaster in the third person incase im wrong.

You sound like a smart man jedimaster, as when you present your reasoning behind your project idea's. I agree Smile
You certainly understand problems with the current masters that are used for home video, and in the threads Ive read are absolutely spot on in how to correct them.

I don't understand why you would continue to start threads continually like this one, and ask the same questions when you already have had answers? (And in this I mean your decorum.)

It suggests to me you are Trolling.

The community here from what I have seen, help each other out with projects wherever possible.
That exists on all levels off technical knowledge.
Ive been a professional editor over the past 17 years, and due to personal circumstances have had to give it up, doing so has also left me zero time to work on any of my personal fan projects.
I try to supply assets and opinion where ever I can help.
That is my small role in the community at the moment.

There is a technical help section in the forum, and alot of information on the web that can teach you everything you need to know in terms of editing your own project.
If you are for real I think you should take the leap.
I recommend looking at how to rip a Bluray / DVD and convert it into a lossless codec for editing (I use UT Codec) and the the basics of Adobe Premiere.

is it missing footage from the director's cut of the film plus is it in English. you see the reason i ask is the producer of the film seems like a jerk because he won't let anyone release the film anymore in america it seems? which is a shame because we're getting a 4k remaster version of night of the living dead by criterion,we have a collector's edition of day of the dead but the one film that needs a new transfer doesn't have one because of a greedy producer. The one they sell now is a "fixed" version. I got a replacement for mine.
On caps-o-holic it shows both versions.
