[Released] Terminator 2 CDS mix

There are tons of missing/extra frames from the DVD compared to the Blu, I think mostly around the special edition edits but to be honest they're everywhere. One of my early projects was going to be a sync but I got hold of the TeamBlu release instead  Big Grin

Listen to the Live AC3 track's LFE in audacity and you'll hear it's a low pass filter of the front channels with some extra kick when needed. An interesting project for someone would be to switch the LFE tracks between mixes.

I used to love the remix on the Ultimate Edition DVD, absolutely love it. Once I'd heard the original mix on laserdisc though there was no going back.

Okay, so how well do you think the Laserdisc mix matrixed out to 5.1 for the extended scenes would blend with the CDS 5.1 mix for the theatrical scenes? And does anyone have a lossless copy of the Laserdisc mix they could share? Preferably either synced (with or without an initial delay) to the 2015 Blu or with an accompanying video track that it syncs to (which would make syncing it myself easier), though I can deal with doing the sync work myself if necessary, it'd just hold up the project a little longer.

Yeah, I'm comparing the 2015 master and the Jap DVD: it starts with a 1-frame delay, then it comes back to be the same, then it's a 3-frame delay. And I'm only 14 minutes in, so most likely without even a reel change involved. That would be a pain to adjust all the way. Let's wait for the HD DVD/Blu-ray track to make another comparison, fingers crossed.

In that case, I'll add it in when I'm done syncing. Fortunately, I had some experience of that recently... Big Grin

Ideally, I'll get my hands on an exact copy of a BD containing the mix.

Yeah, as we're dealing with the same master, it's really annoying.

Now you know what some of my syncs have been like. Big Grin

I'm afraid it's gonna be a pain in the ass also with the HD-DVD track and with Stamper's Blu-ray track since it's supposed to be its twin. I just tried to mux it in the Team Blu's. It's a little too soon, but as the movie goes, it ends up being very much too soon. So a simple starting delay won't do the trick either.

Has MrBrown uploaded the HD-DVD track yet?

In case someone sync the HD-DVD perfectly, please keep track of all the adjustments so we can redo them to the Blu sound when I up it. Yes Mr Brown upped it.

Yes, he has.

Yes, MrBrown kindly uploaded the track, but I need the full disc for my syncing method to work. All things being equal, the BD would be the most preferable source, followed by the HD DVD, followed by the DVD.

Is the bitrate and bit depth on HD-DVD and BD identical?
