I can't say it's the MPEG-2 or AVC, but I have both! sadly, they both have glitches in a single scene, that could be cured using DVD.
Matrix 1 "Dajto" has an higher bitrate than actual Amazon; can't say if/how much is better, though!

Maybe they are not from Amazon, but they surely are WEB downloads - at the usual 5120kbps video bitrate; do you know where they are from?

Of course I know))) you took them to bluebird and I handed them out, they are from the Russian media resource, the maximum bitrate in which for 1080p is just 5120 kbps

I think it will be cool to make 16:9 version from all 3 remastered sources in OverlayMode=2 as custom open matte of T2.

I finally did a version of the SDTV "logo free" (read: applied exinpaint, as the ATV with old grading worked not well at all in many shots).
So now I end up with three sources: SDTV with no noticeable logo in many shots (but not all) 1.33:1, WEB 1.78:1, BD 2.40:1; the alignment is perfect in many many shots but not all, and I don't know which settings I must tweak more that what I've tested until now...
The fact is, if I first "mix" SDTV and WEB, then BD, most of the shots are perfectly aligned; for the ones which does not align well,
if I mix BD and WEB, then SDTV, they align well...
Now, remember the mask? I managed to solve it, so I'm quite happy with the solution found - even if a custom border color will surely help!
The plan is this:
- do pass 1 of SDTV + WEB, then pass 2 adding BD
- check which aligned shots are bad
- do BD+WEB then SDTV for replacement shots
- check for eventual residual bad aligned shots
- replace them with the "simple" dual BD+WEB
- check when the SDTV logo is still noticeable
- replace them with the "simple" dual BD+WEB
- resize the shots to get image "touches" the border
hope to avoid step 8, if random.next would add that feature.

I left SDTV on top, so you can see some other overlays apart logo ("Matrix" title on bottom would be deleted, though), and residual logo "cancellation" that is very noticeable in some shots (partially covered by WEB), or barely (on not noticeable at all) in other.

How about just cropping the SDTV in those cases IF it still has more information on other sides?
Edit: Watched. Looks cool. What's that kyrillic text?

Yep, is it possible to crop SDTV just on top, and leave the bottom.
The text is the title of the movie, it appears whenever the movie resume after the spots, three times; as written before, it should be covered by WEB "slice"; about top right countdown, I don't know!
Forgot to mention: I tried AutoCrop, but it doesn't work properly... it crop everything with the same settings - I mean, the frame with clearly three sources (hence, taller) is cropped as the one with two apparent sources (which has more "headroom" top and bottom); so, it proves useless in this case...

As the aim of an AAP-AR version is to get as much image as possible, I thought that old version (DVD+HDTV) could be used in selected scenes, where the HDTV open matte is substantially the same as composited BD+WEB+SDTV, but with the angles "filled" - of course, these would be regraded to be as much similar as the rest of the new version... now I'm starting to think how doctor Frankenstein felt!
EDIT: another way is to use DVD+HDTV, then ATV, but quality is very low...
but it has more image... I leave this idea behind, because the ATV low quality, logo, and missing frames, BUT... I'm pretty sure there was also a DVD fullscreen around - also if the HK LD is open matte, and not pan&scan, it has subtitles in picture, hence useless. So, if anyone is aware of the fullscreen DVD - or, better, has it - please post here!
