I found many VHS with better audio than dvd or even blu rays in some cases, and when they take audio from VHS they don't know how to clean it properly.

Maybe they compared to the Japanese LD.. in which case the VHS is probably better
 And that's true Evit, VHS doesn't sound too bad if the tape is clean and not totally worn.

Hi-Fi tapes are a better source than people think, yeah if they are not damaged. Usually to save a whole film I need at least two copies of the same tape but recently I got my hands on a monstrous Panasonic professional VCR used for editing on tape (it also includes real TBC), it really makes some miracles.

Also, *maybe* (not too much) worn tape copy could sound better than pristine laserdisc with laserrot - Terminator PAL, anyone?

Terminator is doomed in Italian. Original mix was always only on mono non-HiFi tapes and it sucks!

Just a little update, the end credit crawl is nearly there but now I'll need to adjust it manually and it might take a bit. Meanwhile summer has arrived in full force with temperatures reaching 40°C (over 100 degrees Fahrenheit) so I can't bring myself to stay at the PC for too long, delays due to act of God. Will reprise as soon as they go down a little.

Sorry guys, I've been very busy with work and applying for a job to a very well known online streaming service as they had an opening that I might be qualified for (fingers crossed), this required me to update my CV, funny enough that took longer than some of my projects. I'll have some free time mid August and I'm planning to get back on RotLD then. In the meantime I also purchased the Italian Blu-Ray so that's one more track to include
