Should it be included? What's the consensus about it?

I personally don't mind either way. I have no idea if it was originally there theatrically or added for home video. My vote is whatever you wanna do about it is fine by me. Your call.

I wait for American members to confirm or deny, in Italy we have never seen that so I have no idea. Meanwhile the color has been matched 100%, stabilization is being tested

(2019-04-12, 10:58 AM)Evit Wrote: On the VHS, after the end credits (and after the Orion logo), this appears: This is common in US, especially on IPs and release prints. Most of the time it's not shown, but the BDs that have it (mainly Universal ones) are a digitally edited "static" still shot and not the actual footage. I'm pretty sure I've seen this, complete and in full, at the end of the Scream Factory BD of The Serpent and the Rainbow. That release uses a new 2k scan, hence why it remained fully intact there instead of being completely static like Universal's HD master on the Second Sight and German BDs.

Thanks for the info. It would be nice to include it in this project. I don't have the Serpent BD to send the rating outro to Evit though.

I'll see if any of my US blu rays have it,

If you can give me a couple days, I would be able to obtain the footage from the SF disc once it comes in from a library interloan.

Just as an update, I was able to get a hold of the US laserdisc for ROTLD2. My guess was right, the audio on the Japanese release is unfortunately flawed. The US release sounds perfect, so I will be syncing it after I finish my current project.
