Hi HippieDalek, I stubbled across this forum by accident and signed up. Was scrolling through and couldn't believe I found this version of Highlander II that you have created. I have the older fanedit that was released a few years ago but I would really like to see your improved version. I tried to send you a PM but the site won't let me, I have activated my account so don't know what the problem is. Is there any way you could help me out as this is my favourite version of the film and the one I was used to watching when it was first released.
Cheers.

Very great project of several cuts of Highlander 2! It must have been cost very much time in the dubbing project. I appreciate your work! Which version contains the German track?
BTW: I recorded Highlander 2 (unfortunately only European version in SD quality but it’s very good) from TV broadcast (Tele5) 2 weeks ago and was surprised that Highlander 2 runs full uncut in the midnight. Longer than the both German DVD Releases!!!
As I understand you, you have got full German track for European Version already, right?

Thanks! The latest version of the European Preservation contains the German dub. I only had the cut DVD German soundtrack to work with, but as none of the cut moment have any dialogue I was able to fairly easily fix it using other languages that weren't cut.
I would be very interested in seeing your TV recording. The German DVD is currently the highest quality SD source I've seen, so I'm curious to know if the TV version improves on it. Do you know if it was transmitted in SD? It would also be useful to have the uncut German soundtrack, it would probably improve on my fixed version.
I really loved the actor who dubs Katana in the German version; he goes just as over the top as Michael Ironside and he's clearly enjoying himself immensely.

Wait, Katana is Michael Ironside? Crazy, I didn't notice it. I always was fond of his voice acting as Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell video games. I swear I thought the character was played by Hugo Weaving.

I'd never really thought of Michael Ironside and Hugo Weaving looking alike, but now I think about it I can see what you mean.

They can both do that crazy manic grin very well...not that Hugo Weaving is allowed to even smile any more since Hollywood discovered him.

I swear, during the end fight I was almost hearing "It's inevitable, Mr. Anderson".

Literally every time I watch Lord of the Rings I expect "Welcome to Rivendell, Mr Anderson."
Hugo Weaving is a pretty great actor, but he's sadly been typecast since the Matrix. I'd love to see him do something like "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" or "The Interview" (1998) again. He got to vary his acting style a bit in "Cloud Atlas" but he was still just mostly Agent Smith.

Just found out that today is Michael Ironside's 70th birthday! What a random but delightful coincidence.
