I can send you the 5.1 audio fanmix without the narrator that I did, if you're inclined to include such oddity

'd give me a reason to rewatch this. Sounds kinda interesting. By the way, PDB, have you considered some kind of slight 35mm-y regrade for this project?

At times distracts less from the wonderful score. I might add, it's also available on that favorite organ (search “I Am Jack’s Laryngitis”), but I'll send link on PM request (so we don't clog the thread) for those without access to it.

Given the HDTV and BD look about 80% the same colors and the HDTV is probably from an IP, I'm betting the colors are close to theatrical. But if you have a source let me know and I'd be up for two versions like FOTR.

Ok got Plissken1138's custom soundtrack, thanks.
And spoRv was nice enough to create some of his YAO subs for me which you can witness here: 1.77/2.35 YAO Subs Thanks, spoRv I sort of started something stupid-ish. I was searching for pixealization and decided to fix a few bits of dirt/dust that comes in the form of white spots. Since this is an old HD transfer from the late 90s, it doesn't have the kind of slavish computer-assisted cleanliness we come to expect from modern transfers. Although very clean there are occasional bits of detritus strewn about. Well I fixed one, then another and before I knew it I was 10 mins into the film with 126 bits of garbage cleaned up. I may of bitten off more then I can chew. If I was going to do a clean up right I would of run this through pfclean but here I am manually cleaning up things now. Anyway I don't think I can get it all but do expect a cleaner version of this HDTV transfer. Beyond the cleaning I'm waiting on one more piece that may or may not happen. Thanks given by: Hitcher

Couple of updates on this; still plugging away on this but have been mostly concentrating on QOS at the moment.
First of all, Zoidberg donated and synced the legendary Japanese laserdisc PCM 2.0, so big, big thanks to him. Second, someone else helped me find the dtheater transfer to patch some holes in the open matte, so big thanks to that person also. Since I have the dtheather I cleaned it up a bit also and might release it as a bonus to this project. Also, I was going to include the 4 commentaries but I'm thinking I might leave those off... Forgive my naivete on the matter... but is the Japan LD PCM special/legendary because it's the only place to find the stereo mix in PCM? Just curious. Looking forward to this one. Thank you lots!!

Looking forward to this one. Thank you lots!! Yes that’s basically it. I always like to include a 2 channel mix if I can and while the dvd and bd have a DD 2.0 mix, PCM has got them beat hands down. Also to the point that the LD is pretty rare and very expensive being one of the last Japanese LDs made. It’s up there in LD circles. Hence my legendary description. Thanks given by: nafroe
