My mistake, the original audio 2.0 was apparently only on a few early DVD releases. I thought they were on a german release, but maybe I'm mixing it up with some remuxes that happened over the years.

If it is the 2.0 mixes are literally LD rips, my next question is why? Could not get the original audio master for the Dolby Stereo tracks like they did with the 70mm mix for the 2nd film?

Maybe the "Young Guns" one was inflated to 24-bit but really is 16-bit.

Basic Instinct is another LD to 24bit PCM job LionsGate did for their UHD. Has anyone compared the Young Guns and Basic Instinct UHD audio to the original LD audio? It should give us an idea on how these Rambo Dolby tracks are going to sound.

If they capture them in 16 bit (or just use a fan remux sync without asking, which more publishers do than you know), usually they bump them to 24 bits to do additional processing.
