We're getting the Zack's Snyder Justice League with no compromise or studio interference.

I can't ask for more.

Of course, in the grand scheme of things, it seems like we are nitpicking about something we thought we would never see. It entertains the hype and discussion while waiting for it to be released and us actually having all the details there and then, that's the fun of it!

YES! 1,33 or WW3!!

Just kidding. I really want it to be 1,33:1 though.

Me too, I would take 1.33 over 1.66.

1:66:1 is a strange choice!
Might as well go with the full IMAX ratio considering it will be pillar boxed.

I imagined it would be broadcast / streamed in 1.77.1 to fill 16.9 T.V's
We will see.

Exciting stuff though, so glad we're getting it.
I can not watch the theatrical Frankenstein monster and always want more after watching MOS and BVS.

I just want to see as much content as possibleļ¼Œso 1.33 would be my wish.

By the way IMAX shooting must be really expensive. In BVS there are at least several scenes shot on 65mm film, which I can tell the difference obviously because that level of detail and sharpness really stand out. So i thought if Zack fell in love with IMAX he would shoot more 65mm scenes in JL, but sadly for some reason he changed to super35 and digital cameras. So i think no matter what AR will be used in Snyder Cut, it can not provide the same image quality like those scenes in BVS does.

I really hope one day i could see a blockbuster shot entirely on IMAX film(which TENET still didnt manage), that would be really awesome!

I'd be surprised if digital couldn't live up to the same level of detail that 65mm offers, at least after downscaling both to 4K/1080p.

IMAX cameras make a lot of noise and are not suitable for dialog photography.
This is why most films only use IMAX cameras in action scenes.

Correct, but it could be done if you accepted the necessity of shooting like the old days where no audio was recorded on set and everything was dubbed in later. This has already been done recently in BAIT for artsy-fartsy reasons (that film was shot with an old camera from the era in which sound wasn't recorded at the same time as picture).

It is however incredibly expensive not just to get the cameras but also to get the 65 mm IMAX film. So it's a bit of both.

I assume someone with Nolan's overall aesthetic leanings towards capturing as much of the movie he can in-camera... he would not be a fan of completely looping scenes of drama (neither would his actors, obviously hahaha).

Ironic, considering how often audiences say they can't hear the dialogue in his movies anyway hehehe
