Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 4K Theatrical Preservation
#1
Hi folks!

I hope I’m not out of line to be creating this post, I was given the go ahead by Feallen. My only involvement is in helping to organize much of the funding.

But I realize some people here contributed to the project based merely on the proposal as it was posted here. And if some of you are not in the Star Wars Trilogy message board, you may not be privy to the drama from last week.

Let me just assuage any fears. All money has been collected by Williarob— Hulot never handled a dime of it.

The project is in progress under those new more capable hands.

Any updates of interest to those who contributed through this board will thus be posted here.

Thanks all who contributed!

Guessing the little shit was going to take the money and run as soon as he got the chance.

Glad to know it's now in safe hands. Really looking forward to this release.

I assumed he was going to collect the money too. Then he reached out to me with instructions to send to backers that the money was going to Williarob. He very quickly followed it up with another message saying maybe that wasn’t a good idea and asked ME to collect the money, saying he didn’t feel comfortable handling it. I declined because that really should have been asked of me in advance. I told him to figure his stuff out and get back to me. He did later that night and confirmed it was all going to Rob. Very nearly could have gone the other way, though. Thankful!

The rental fee and shipping costs have been paid to the print owner and the scanner has also been paid, so the project is ready for take off.

I'll let you know as soon as the print arrives.

I'm not on the SW forum, anyone want to fill me in on what happened, it can be via PM?

Thanks for the update @ThrowMeTheWhip and @williarob, happy to see my contribution's not lost in the aether.
