True support, no. I don't care enough to get into Internet fights over something that only a few people know and they will not tell unless blackmail or revenge kicks in and a tell all book is released. To be honest, I can only testify to what I saw at the corporation I worked at. At one time, I was caught in the middle of a department vs department fight and with me being the low man on the totem pole, I almost lost my job when our department lost (I did get a reprimand) . So yes I believe that it probably is happening and did happen, but no, I don't care enough to pick a hill and die on.

In 1984, Columbia released Ghostbusters to a block busting success. Do you remember Columbia's legal fight with Filmation? Columbia licensed the name Ghostbusters from Filmation for around $300k-$500k or so and a small percentage of the "NET" profits. Columbia claimed that the film didn't make a penny and released documents to the court to support it. If you get a chance, search for the paperwork and it will blow your mind on what Columbia did to make it look like their movie didn't make any money. Hollywood accounting at it's finest.

Lol, and when this happened, I was like yep, this will start some arguments. Then Legacy through a fit, until they came to some "undisclosed" settlement. So yea, at the end of the day, mainstream Hollywood reminds me of organized crime families. Billions of dollars are at risk and some shady crap goes on.
Blessings.
Quote:Is this in support of the idea that WB conspired to moderately sabotage some 3rd party streaming viewership numbers of SNYDERCUT to get out of the SNYDERVERSE business?
In the context of the craven human pettiness of corporate infighting and regime changes, it's not COMPLETELY out of the question. But it just doesn't pass my personal smell test yet.

Quote:And this is despite the fact that I have no problem believing modern Hollywood would amplify such regular instances of human greed and ego-stroking. This is, after all, a world in which a mega-success like the LOTR trilogy apparently made no profit to the point that Jackson had to sue New Line to get paid what he was due.

Quote:But some subtle-to-moderate massaging of some viewership numbers feels so insignificant in the context of AT&T going:
Quote:"OOOOOH!!! WE'RE GOING TO DUMP OUR 2021 SLATE ONTO OUR NEW STREAMING PLATFORM WITHOUT AN UPCHARGE!!!
OOOOH, WE'LL HASH THE DETAILS OUT WITH THE VARIOUS FINANCIAL STAKEHOLDERS OF EACH PRODUCTION LATER! WE'RE SURE THEY'LL BE TOTALLY COOL WITH IT.
OOOOOOH, CHRISTOPHER NOLAN IS GIVING US THE STINK EYE!!!"
