The work on this was not actually massively extensive: it boils down to doing a few things that some people might lack the technical skills or inclination to do and putting everything onto a disc. *shrugs* It's just a version that I can stand to watch until the film finally gets the treatment it deserves, which it's bound to receive eventually on UHD BD.
