Thanks BDGeek, and sorry for missing your previous message! That Beneath disc is interesting, given that it's around the same timeframe as the DVD. I'd certainly like to compare if you're able to capture it.
Escape would also be worth comparing too, but I'd be quite surprised if it was anything other than the existing Chace stereo - I imagine there'd have been an outcry if a disc sold (and labelled) as stereo turned out to be mono. Happy to check it out if you can easily cap it, though!

Makes sense your point about Escape.
Ok, I'll get Beneath first, as it's bigger chance of being the DVD track in PCM. If we're lucky here, I'll risk Escape down the road.

Are the Dolby Digital 2.0/Mono tracks for the Blu-rays in https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Planet-of...ray/40121/, I own this set, fine for lossy mono? I'm excluding the DVDs for the listing. Which version of the mono is it that's on the USA BDs? I've owned the USA BD set I've linked in this post for almost 13 years.
Audio tracks on the USA BDs:
Planet of the Apes 1968 = English: Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono (Original) (224 kbps)
Beneath the Planet of the Apes = English: Dolby Digital Mono (Original) (224 kbps)
Escape from the Planet of the Apes = English: Dolby Digital Mono (Original) (224 kbps)
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes: Theatrical & Unrated Cuts = English: Dolby Digital Mono (Original) (224 kbps)
Battle for the Planet of the Apes: Theatrical & Extended Cuts = English: Dolby Digital Mono (Original) (224 kbps)
Would the LDs/DVDs have a higher bitrate at all? I doubt the LDs and DVDs have both cuts of the last two films out of the pentalogy. I didn't really own the sequels on DVD, just the 2-Disc for POTA 1968 before the BDs released.
DVDCompare.net: OVERALL: Blu-ray A For the DTS-HD Master Audio track and for having the original mono track and isolated score track in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
I don't really watch any Planet of the Apes Pentalogy movies with the 5.1 remix, just the Mono tracks on the BDs. Really wish for an eventual 4K disc with all the mono tracks to be DTS-HD MA or LPCM.

I can hardly wait for BFTPOTA '73 , Thank you :-) Well this doesn't mean much to me since I've never watched the USA FOX BDs with the 5.1 tracks regarding the POTA Pentalogy and only the mono tracks from it.

Neither have I. Have plans to buy the POTA films on BD but haven't found the time to do so.
Whether my finding mean something or not, I hope my findings are reliable enough for the person reading it.

Would you care to do the same thing again but focusing on the lossy mono tracks from the USA BDs which you excluded instead of solely the 5.1 remixes? From my grasp of the information you've seemed to not focus on that and didn't reply to my post. DVDCompare.net is helpful since no country, excluding the USA, has DTS-HD MA 5.1 and the lossy mono tracks, including the rest of the movies, 2-5, having the isolated scores in a lossless track regarding the BDs.
I've owned the repackaged (it's in a slipcase with regular Viva Elite cases) 5-Film/Pentalogy USA BD set since 2013, which I already mentioned in my initial post.
Copy paste from my post with an addition =
Audio tracks on the USA BDs I prefer listening to:
Do these even mean anything to the plethora of the various prior releases? Would a remux need to be in order for specific cuts of specific titles?

A: 1968?
B: I am aware that DVDCompare is helpful.
C: I am aware that the International BDs don't have Mono mixes
D: I am focusing on finding out what the optimal listening experiences are outside of BDs or UHD (VHS, LDs [including foreign Analog Videos as well, should they have more optimal AQ than North American/JP videos]) wherever possible.
What could be more realistic than that?
In other words, I apologize if you think so.
Or for that matter, do you want personal sound mix preferences?
Thank you.

Thank you.
Personal sound mix preferences excluding all 5.1 remuxes, including what's on the BDs, regarding mono for the film. Include the mono tracks that're on the BDs last because it'd be easiest to list all releases from various formats of the date of publishing.
Only the current POTA series, tetralogy so far (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), is on 4K UHD, not the 1968-1973 series. That includes both cuts for POTA 4 and POTA 5.
That mentioned, I'm repeating I've owned the USA BD set for more than a decade, and would be fine if there's a VHS, LD, or DVD audio tracks (mono or stereo or Dolby Surround) which could be used on a remux derived from the USA BDs. I'm not selling that USA BD set I bought for only $24.96 USD in 2013.
You should stop procrastinating and just buy the Planet of the Apes 5-Film Collection USA Blu-ray disc set. It's only $28.85 USD prior to tax from Amazon.com and can be readily purchased from ebay and other retailers.
