Another update:

I will be doing the cover art myself at this point. Things did not pan out like I had hoped. I want something singular to the VHS versions and not a rehash of artwork that is already out there, custom or not.

It might take me a bit but I'll try to get something done nicely for these.

UPDATE:

I'm going to change my strategy a bit on this project.

I've cleared out a single hard drive just for this. I'm going to record each tape directly to the HD through VDub so I can have LPCM audio for each one I do instead of just burning straight to disc through my DVD Burner machine. I will, however, use the machine to pass the picture through it's comb filter as it does a fairly nice job. I think this will be the best way to preserve these and give people something a little nicer to work with if they want them for projects.

While I'm doing this I will be working on making the covers as I go. I've snagged a video tutorial on using GIMP. I think this will be the best for making custom covers because I don't mine to be a knock off of others done already .... I'd like these to be something indicative of this project as a whole.

Any suggestions and what not are always welcomed and appreciated.
