Hmmm... I wonder if the full season LD's had a different color grading than those same episodes in these "2-pack LDs." Maybe the full season LDs have the same color grading as the DVDs?
That being said... I do think the BDs look excellent overall.

So are you still planning on syncing the LD audio to the BD?

Welcome back my friend
I know you are still busy, as am I lately, but it will be nice when we are all back together on here working on putting stuff together.
back-to-topic... do you have any of it captured yet or is this still just an idea for a project?

An upscale of the DVDs or LDs might be nice so we can get the original 4:3 ratio again

Frankly, I thought about this, too, at least for the first four season - using the PaNup technique.

Update: DoomBot kindly helped me, sending some clips from both DVD and BD.
Now that I have actual footage, I can say that color grading is different; not that much - I must admit the BD colors are good, if you haven't seen the DVD, but they lacks that "something"...
The ColourMatch seems to work well; in this moment I'm saving the lossless final version of Waterworld (again? yes...) and it will take "just" five days - at a whopping 0.39fps - so can't post screenshots, don't want to crash the system (again? yes...) playing with more than one VDub instance; now you can figure out why I had more than one PC to work on...
Stay tuned!
