The HDTV has a different color grading from BD and DVD/LD.

Looks like the HDTV has more green in it and frankly it looks a bit better. I know, your gonna do a 50/50 now

I wonder if all the first nine seasons are available (I'm sure seven are), and also if the tenth one is.

Combining them, image got a better color - now faces are not too pink, or yellow, but "right" IMHO - and rainbow in the jacket is greatly reduced; grain plate does help as usual; maybe I exagerated with the sharpen - probably something in the middle is better - but BD seemed a bit too soft.

During the investigation, after the body is found, note how the people seems "detached" from the background, almost 3D like - or it's just me and/or my awesome display?

I still like the hdtv color, the 50/50 ends up being just about the same look as the BD.

I must admit they seems close, without a direct comparison; but, even if I prefer the HDTV over the BD, the former is too green while the latter too pink, so I thought 50/50 would be a good compromise... 25BD/75HDTV, maybe?

Anyone knows if seasons 8 and 9 were available on HDTV (7 MAXX) ?

I just wanted to make a proposal/idea to fix the fonts, but I see I'm not alone now.

The remaster is great and I even like the 16:9 (considering it's an opened up matte, so to speak). I don't mind the upscaled footage either; apparently they just got it or produced it in SD, which would mean that PanUp wouldn't work either (as PAL would just be an NTSC conversion possibly).

But the fonts. Jesus, the fonts. And now that I've seen some of the screens, happy you guys found out. The corrections are very welcome.

I chatted with one of the guys who was involved in the remaster on reddit once. Even talked about the fonts. I speculated about the idea of doing a median of the various language-versions/episodes to get a clean intro, then replace font. He said basically: Meh, why bother. (which is okay!). Other interesting info: The remaster was done with an 1080p scan for the entire image. This scanned image was typically further zoomed in at least so that there are no borders, so the final image is a little less than actual 1080p.

If anyone can find the correct fonts for the intro(s), I might feel motivated to take care of that part or at least research whether it can be done, as it is the one that bothers me most. I'd also be willing to help out with some of the LD PCM syncing, but not all of them.
