Work in progress...

Maybe we should leave the same space between "WE" and "ARE" as there is between "WALKING" and "DEAD". It looks nice like it is now, too.

I found a better Walking Dead font, called Tungsten Black. I like this "R" better.

Copying the textures was quite easy, since all the new letters but the "R" were in the original text. I made the texture for "R" with a modified "D".

Oh, I forgot the "PART I" text! XD

I agree that space between WE and ARE should be the same as the one between WALKING and DEAD - IMHO!

Ok, here is a test. The framerate is messed up since I'm using a very basic video editing soft (Camtasia) and I just can't find where to change the framerate. ¬_¬

Anyway, since it's just to show a test, it's enough.

I made the new text appear like the real one, one word at a time.

VERY NICE! Smile
It looks a lot better now. Looking forward to seeing the entire thing, including the "part I"

EDIT: The reason I used "Dead Kansas" was because it was slightly textured to begin with but it was NOT exactly the same font. I saw the Tungsten Black font matched better and even though I'm able to do pretty extensive image editing, have never tried to apply a different texture to lettering. What you did here is awesome and a perfect match. Thank you for doing it and I can't wait to be able to use it in the film itself. At this point, you will not only get credit for helping me with feedback on the workprints, but also for helping me with the "logo." In fact, let me know what name you want me to use and I will make sure to add it to the end credits of the film itself, not just the info/description for the "official" release Wink

I've been thinking about that "logo" and I like it just the way it is.
I do NOT want the "part I" on that title screen. Maybe a "part II" in the next film, but the first one IMHO looks perfect this way; or maybe insert that at a different part, not during logo, but during the fade-in to rick in the hospital. I have done some tests, with a very rough "part I" imposed on a upRez'ed screenshot of the 720p logo you created and then, also, tested it without it there, but instead with the fade-in and it looks a lot better this way.

Basically, if and when you can, please send me PNG images of your work and I will use those on the timeline. All I need is one with just the word "WE" and one with just the words "WE ARE," with the same size and positioning as now, but without the background. This way I can easily layer it onto the original source material and maintain the original quality.

LOL. I was about to start with the "PART 1" text, so you stopped me right on time!

I have the PNGs ready (I need to modify one thing, no big deal). I will send them to you ASAP. Wink

Many thanx. Glad I caught you before you wasted time working on it. Yeah, the "part I" on the first film just doesn't look right with that logo.

Anyway, I am tired and getting ready to go to sleep so no rush. Look forward to waking up, hopefully finding those images and then getting started on encoding the 1080p "master" one last timeWink

I was just writing this text. Don't go to sleep! Big Grin

OK, here you have the PNGs: https://mega.co.nz/#!kNwEkCjB!L_eayRzw2e...PU_IMZ_9gc

I too thought that it would look better without the "PART I", but I guess they should have some numbers to order them... Or not. Wink

Maybe it could be like in the series. They don't tell you which episode or season you are on. It's just We Are The Walking Dead, and the number will be on the file name, so people will already know the order.

Anyway you can leave it without the Part I, and when the second movie is completed you can decide if adding a Part II text or maybe a cool subtitle like "We Are The Walking Dead: The Boring Farm Days". Wink

Oh, I know probably this would change too much your plans, but I thought it could be cool to extend your cut and add season 2's first scene, when Carl gets shot. That would be a great "to be continued" ending and would match with the cliffhanger style of the 2nd, when we see Michionne and the prision just at the end of the season. It's just an idea.

Hey, try this PNGs: https://mega.co.nz/#!9Q4UiKhR!F1yeRM3Hv-...94Yf39Xz-8

I made the "PART" texts anyway, it was quite easy. I made them smaller than your text. I have done from I to XII and from 1 to 12. I have just uploaded PART I, PART II, PART 1 and PART 2, just for you to try. No matter if they don't get used at the end, don't worry. Wink
