TV series in streaming with wrong pitch
Posted by: spoRv - 2021-05-01, 11:02 PM - Forum: Movies, TV shows and other - Replies (5)

My daughter started to watch Criminal Minds on Netflix; casually I watched few episodes, and I noted that the voices (ALL!) were wrong, too slow... I guess because the original Italian track was recorded with TV in mind, hence at 25fps, and Netflix slowed down it to 24fps...

Anyone noticed that in other TV series in streaming?

The Shining 1999 R1 DVD European Cut

Like this DVD version (with 1.33:1 aspect ratio and original mono audio) a lot, and I made it to the European cut!

  Nighthawks (1981)
Posted by: PipperPiper - 2021-04-27, 01:34 AM - Forum: Official and unofficial releases - Replies (3)

Nighthawks the Stallone action thriller from 1981 with Billy Dee Williams and Rutger Hauer has always been a film of interest for me. Not only due to what the movie was released as, but also with what ended up on the cutting room floor. Once again we will be taking this info with a grain of salt (or a whole fucking shaker, if necessary) considering where the info is coming from.

Anyhow, supposedly there are quite a few different cuts available world wide on VHS. Anyone have access to any of these alt VHS versions that just might hold deleted scenes? There supposedly is also a Japanese LaserDisc that may or may not hold a much different cut than what was available in the US. Anyone happen to have it or actually know if it is indeed different? I just would like to put to rest the rumors that have been making their rounds concerning this film. On the other hand if there is validity to this it would be very nice to be able to save these deleted scenes.

Guys I need confirm information.

I love FEDS 1988 , after Guilty As Sin 1993 - my favourite movie with Rebecca de Mornay.

I know is DVD widescreen NTSC but is it any DVD in fullscreen?

Screenshots to compare, polish TV 4:3 vs DVD NTSC 16:9:

And my second question:

Is available normal made DVD (FS or WS) because what I see on ebay now only is available DVD - R MOD version (Warner Archive)

Galaxy Quest (1999) [F-Bomb Edition] DTS-HD MA Track
Posted by: Kreeep - 2021-04-26, 11:34 AM - Forum: Released - Replies (1)

In Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary, it's mentioned that plenty of dialogue was cut from the film to bring it down to a PG rating. There is one scene (01:17:17) in the actual film with Sigourney Weaver's character exclaiming "Well, fuck that", which was dubbed over to "Well, screw that" in post. In the documentary, they show the scene with the original dialogue in tact. So, I've reinstated it into the audio track. That's all Tongue

Should sync up perfectly to the Blu-ray. Send us a message if interested at all.

Hi all,

I stumbled across this forum while searching for a particular release of a film. I've only really recently discovered fanedits, having absolutely adored the HAL9000 Star Wars prequel trilogy (he really tidied them up well). It's fair to say I've fallen down a bit of a rabbit hole! Anyway, I look forward to perusing the forums here, and conversing with you all!

Cheers  Shy

  Saying Hi

Hi guys!

Total newbie here with 0 experience with fanedits.

I watched the new "Royal Ocean Film Society" video about fanedits on Youtube and got intrigued.
Then I wondered whether there are any Sam Peckinpah fanedits. He is one of my favorite directors and most of his films have been released in a version that he disapproved of, so I got really curious about Peckinpah cuts. Turns out there is a fanedit of Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid by LeoneNut, which sounds perfect because it's one of my favorite movies. So, I found this place because now I'm obsessed with with the idea of the Preview version and the 2005 one having been fused, since they both have advantages over the other.

Ngl, when I saw some people on this forum fairly recently post about the LeoneNut cut, I got really enthusiastic and signed up just to ask where I can find it (I have no idea what the "organ tracker" refers to). But having read the rules and some posts on here, I saw that doesn't seem to be well appreciated newbie behavior, but it's how I ended up here. So that's why I'm introducing myself and trying to figure out how somebody completely new to this can get involved.

Are there any recommended threads for total newcomers? Because now I'm wondering whether "The Killer Elite" could be saved by taking some of the goofiness out, but I'm getting way ahead of myself.
