I thought I was an odd one trying to tinker with AI upscaling for my movies, glad to have found this forum! Hello from Canada.

  Hi there

Hey,

I'm glad to be here. I love movies and I'm always saddened when commercial releases get butchered, when DNR is overly applied, when some scenes get censored, when color timings gets completely changed to something more modern but unlike what was originally released, etc... So, of course I'm glad to be a community of people interested in restoring films to their original versions Smile

I have eclectic taste in movies but right now, I'm in a period where I'm super interested in old HK movies from Hong Kong's heydays as a cinema powerhouse.

Music In the Aftermath (1988) [Angel's Egg US Cut] VHS Audio and Code Red Blu-ray
Posted by: Hydra Spectre - 2024-06-09, 07:40 AM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (1)

So, the Arrow Blu-ray of In the Aftermath has muffled audio compared to the VHS. However, I don't see any proper lossless rips of the VHS audio.
IIRC The Code Red Blu-ray (which is now out-of-print) probably sounds clearer, but I don't know exactly. Can someone please send me lossless VHS rip and Code Red Blu-ray audio tracks for In the Aftermath that are synced up to the 2K restored Arrow Blu-ray?

Thanks in advance!

  Text Subtitles (.ASS) to PGS
Posted by: Doctor M - 2024-06-05, 10:39 PM - Forum: General technical discussions - Replies (7)

Anyone have recommended software for generating Blu-ray subtitles from a text based source?

I'm getting ready to convert some custom subs for The Fighting Seabees so I can mux it and burn a disc.
I realized the software I've been using is PunkGraphcStream from 2010 and there hasn't been any updates since then.
