I've had various version of Innocent Blood over the years. The one I had the longest was a DVD conversion I made of the PAL European extended cut converted to NTSC with full menus and everything.

I started watching the Warner Archive Blu-ray reconstruction of the European cut and turned it off after 20 minutes. The English subtitles are abbreviations of what's being said. I was able to check the German release and they have the same subtitle tracks (but much worse video).

Outside of doing an OCR from the DVD, checking and rechecking to make sure they're perfect .SRT and then converting them to BD SUP files... is there an easier or better way?

I don't like any of the answers and considering sticking with the DVD.

Was reading on IMDB that the Japanese version of the film differs in a few places compared to the theatrical cut (and presumably the director's cut)

(have posted in a spoiler below since a couple of them could be racially sensitive so didn't want to offend anyone) 

ive recently began collecting 4:3 copies of my favorite movies to watch in EmuVR and I have a pretty big collection so far from ebay, just looking for some of the rarer ones and ones that were never released in fs.

Was just browsing after stumbling across FanRestore while scouring for a 35mm transfer of T2 and immediately am hooked.

I've been a big fan of the BR2049 Open Matte that I tracked down years ago and upgraded to the 4k Hybrid-y release a few months back but am now coming across so many incredible projects! The only thing I have made myself is some high quality upscales of the Muppets Show but I'm doubtful anyone is foaming at the mouth for those lol.

For instance, id love to see a Skyfall Open Matte I've found (which appears to have been discontinued although many have a copy?) but finding links and/or talking to the right people seems daunting. Any advice?

I am huge fan of the Bourne Trilogy and was wondering if anybody did any fan edits of the trilogy

I’ve been working on Bluray/DVD hybrids for several years now. The biggest stumbling block for me has been trying to remove the film gate weave out of the dvd footage.

I use DaVinci Resolve for my edits. I’ve tried all the stabilizations offered with the software, but without film sprocket information, it seems impossible to remove the gate weave except for frame by frame adjustments. Which I have done. It’s no fun, haha.

Does anybody have any software/procedure suggestions?
