  Who Am I?
Posted by: Kaaleppii - 2025-09-02, 07:03 PM - Forum: Presentation - Replies (1)

Heyo, I mostly came here for the title of this thread, Jackie Chan's classic movie Who Am I? I grew up on his movies and it seems more and more are not available anymore, which is a real shame if you ask me.

Hey all, I stumbled across this place when I came across uhdfan93's terminator project while searching for any potential ways to download laserdisc monos for the terminator. That was my main incentive for creating account here, but this seems like an overall interesting place to be!

  Saving Private Ryan audio mix
Posted by: ash_82 - 2025-09-01, 02:21 PM - Forum: Movies, TV shows and other - Replies (4)

Hi,

Do we know which version of SVP has the best mix ?

DVD half-rate DTS used to be absolute reference back in the day, but I can't find any info on if the audio mix was subsequently tampered with on blu-ray and UHD.

Did anyone ever analysed the tracks and looked for filtrering and reduced dynamics on the DTS-HD and the Atmos ?

  "Commando director's cut" remastered
Posted by: Beber - 2025-08-30, 08:54 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (19)

Hey, guys.

In a not too distant future, I intend to recreate the director's cut based on the AMZN remaster of the theatrical cut and the extra scenes, colormatched of course, from the DC Blu-ray that I will use as timeline, too, so that I can keep the Blu-ray audio and subtitle tracks. It shouldn't be too difficult, as there's only 2 frames to remove near the beginning of the remaster when the general leaves and Alyssa turns towards Arnie to conform it to the theatrical Blu-ray and then add the extra and extended scenes. I already tested the colormatching tool on the alternate Alyssa Milano scene and it works pretty well.

  "Thief" remastered theatrical cut
Posted by: Beber - 2025-08-30, 07:41 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (23)

Hey, guys.

I see on movie-censorship (https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=597171) that the latest DC available from Criterion and Arrow simply has one extra scene circa 10 minutes in for about 82 seconds and the rest is the same as the theatrical cut. So recreating the theatrical cut based on the remastered DC would be pretty straight forward. Only one shot has to be taken and color matched from the theatrical Blu-ray because it's longer while it fades into the extra scene in the DC. We can just use the theatrical Blu-ray as timeline and adjust the colors a bit on the remaster so that the teal turns into a prettier cyan shade and that's it. I'll probably do that in a not too distant future. Some audio analyst will just have to determine the pitch issue @titanic mentionned to me and fix it if needed so that I include a proper track. What do you think?
