My name is FrBeyond, I’m 35 years old and I’m from France. I work remotely in the IT field, with a strong interest in technology and digital topics. I’m passionate about video games, especially immersive RPGs, as well as movies and TV shows in high quality. I care a lot about visual and audio experience, and I’m always curious about new technologies.

Signing up because I saw a thread for the Dark Knight Rises imax scenes in 1.43:1 ratio.
My country doesn't have any imax theatres with said screen presentations, so im curious to know how it changes the scenes
and if they offer new information and excperience.

I'm also interested in knowing what other movies have same releases.
only movie with that tall imax ratio I have is the Zack Synder Justice League.

Sony is SOOOO notorious for gatekeeping movies on steelbooks. I hate it.

Would anyone like to see a 35mm Film Scan of the last two reels, 6 & 7, from "Transformers: Dark of the Moon"?

Reel 6 starts with Que giving the troops the Cybertronian weapons, basically the beginning of the War of Chicago. The rest of the film from that point on, from reel 6 to the end of reel 7, is the complete last 42 minutes of the film all the way into the end of the credits.

If I decided to do this project, it wouldn't be posted anywhere online, would only be available for those who potentially helped donate to the project.

At this point, I'm just curious to what the main consensus of doing this one is. I think it's worth it, because of the action, the depth of photoreal imagery, mixed with the vibrant colors. It would be incredible to watch, just as it was presented in theaters.

I own a 35mm print of Hostel 2 and am desperately looking for the DTS iso.

Initially I wanted to try 35mmforum, but for some reason admins won't accept me to join.
Also looking for the DTS Iso of The Devil Wears Prada.

The Simpsons Movie has always been a weird-looking movie to me because of its strange yellow/green tint that I, and many others, assumed was just an intentional choice to make the movie appear more cinematic. However, with hindsight and knowledge of other home releases with similar tints, I've come to realize that the original home video master was actually just botched. It's a movie from early in the era of digital cinema, only 2 years after DCI was standardized, meaning it was almost certainly completed in DCI-P3, so what seems to have happened is they simply forgot to adjust the white point when bringing it into the realm of Rec.709, leading to the pervasive green tint. Thankfully, because of reference material like the theatrical trailers and a few 35mm scans, it's pretty easy to come to the conclusion that the movie was meant to have a much more neutral tone than the warmer yellow-green tones of its home releases. Thankfully, aside from the base white point error, the movie is graded pretty consistently so doing a white point conversion and white balance to neutralize the whole movie without affecting other intentional tones in things like the night scenes was quite easy.

Sourced from the Blu-ray, and other than colors was left untouched before encoding, so I unfortunately couldn't reduce the BD's sharpening artifacts.
