I've been a home theater enthusiast for a long time and always looking for the best version of a movie one can get/create.

Hi,
I’m a film digger. I love great movies with a personal touch.
Films like Taxi Driver, Bad Lieutenant (Abel Ferrara), Time of the Gypsies, etc.

Hi All, Quick introduction then!
I'm 51 and from the uk and haven't used a forum for years so go easy on me but probably have various stuff across many pages over the years going back to the early 2000's!, always been a big film fan and I still watch VHS along with newer formats too. I thought I'd come along and check this place out as there seems to be a lot of discussion of fan edits and although I haven't dabbled in that I've been editing video since the 80's.

Hi,
I haven't seen the Cartoon Network TV miniseries Over the Garden Wall yet, but I'd like to watch it on Amazon and get the Blu-ray. I'd like it if someone could rip the original 5.1 audio tracks from the Amazon 1080p web-DLs of the miniseries and sync them to the Blu-ray.
Thanks,
James
Edit: Changed HBO Max to Amazon as the 5.1 tracks are on Amazon.

I expect many will realise what movie my username references. Yes, I'm a big John Carpenter fan, but a big movie fan in general. Movies are a big part of my life. Some would say a little too much!
But finding this forum and seeing some of what you've all been up to, makes me realise how lazy I've become. Generally accepting the lastest version as the one to get, without really properly comparing. Well, not so much more recently because I've been seeing how mistakes and bad choices have been creeping in, making some movies worse and less enjoyable.
Also, it's frustrating how so many movies have been re-mastered for Blu-ray and 4K, some multiple times over the years, but we are still waiting for many movies that are only on DVD.
While I still have quite an extensive DVD collection, most of it is boxed up and not so easy to access at the moment. But I'm wondering what gems I might have, but don't realise.
I've dabbled in a bit of syncing, editing, but only quite basic stuff really. My attempt at an AI upscale of a DVD didn't go so well, but obviously my 9 year old PC with integrated GPU is a major limiting factor! So I plan to upgrade to a much newer spec PC (when possible) and start learning more.
Meanwhile, I hope no one minds if I ask some daft and/or obvious questions here and there.
