Hello everyone!  My name is Justin and I just came across this amazing forum.  I've been into movies and home theater related gear since the mid/late 90's.  I worked at a movie theater as a teenager just to watch all the movies I could.  I've built my first home theater in late 1997.  I was a very early adopter of DVD and bought my first player the Toshiba SD-3600.  I now have a large collection of 4K UHD and have been bitten by the Laserdisc bug.  I bought a used Denon AVR-5803a and a Pioneer Elite CLD-79 to enjoy some of the original AC-3 and DTS Laserdisc releases.  I had thought about synching the laserdisc audio with several of my current 4K UHD titles and then I found this forum.

Needless to say, I look forward to looking through the discussions here and learning how to do my own syncs and contribute.  It's going to be a long 60 days waiting to PM some of you.  But I look forward to posting.

Massive movie fan, grew up watching Laserdisc's on my Dad's Home Theatre back in the day and really appreciate good quality video and audio especially with today's 4K Blu-ray releases.

Hey everyone, I have had a look and I don’t see anyone with an uncompressed pull of the 35mm Dolby SR track from T2 theatrical. I’ve seen some torrents with what looks like the track but they are usually compressed and only about 600mb in size which is not enough. By my estimations the uncompressed track should be around 1.6gb-2.3gb in size.

Anyone have a lead on this?

There is an old HDcap of the OM version. Is this really the only version available? No WEB-DL or so?

So I was  trying to find more information about the differences between LD and those modern physical media. That's how I found FanRestore.
