No Retreat No Surrender / Karate Tiger (1986) LD Audio /isolated Score Help Needed
Posted by: Falcon - 2021-02-14, 02:47 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - No Replies

I love this movie, but the audio from the Blu-Ray looks like a bad VHS rip Confused
I would like to sync the Audio from LD, maybe it could be better...

I trying to make an isolated score track with the OST CD (realeased in 2010).
If anyone can help me with a LD capture, or other OST CD (the 2010 OST doesn't have all music), I could finish this project faster Smile

Here is a quick example of the difference in quality between CD OST and Blu-Ray :

Question Convert DTS/DD to Dolby Headphone??
Posted by: nafroe - 2021-02-13, 07:42 PM - Forum: Converting, encoding, authoring - Replies (15)

Hello all!

Is it possible to convert a discrete DTS/DD audio track to a Dolby Headphone track? Dolby Surround to Dolby Headphone?

If so, what software would you use for such a conversion?

Same film, printed by two different makers...

Just finished to watch National Treasure: Book of Secret (note: NEVER SEEN BEFORE, unbelievable! Big Grin ) and I noted this:

As you can see, it was printed by Deluxe in US and Canada, and by Technicolor in the rest of the world.

Now, I wonder, can this make a difference? I mean, US (Canada) prints could have different color, contrast etc. compared to others?

The Cable Guy (1996) Workprint with Russian audio voiceover
Posted by: roman1990 - 2021-02-10, 01:00 AM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - No Replies

Hey guys,
Thanks to userBigRob, I came here in the hopes that someone can help me out. So I've found the workprint of The Cable Guy and it runs approximately 6 minutes longer than the theatrical cut. Unfortunately, it's overlapped with a Russian voiceover with English audio in the background. I understand that's impossible to get rid of the Russian audio if it's on one track but I'm holding out hope that someone can help me out.

Thanks,

... that i wish someone (Cameron preferably) to really invent (or just find, since we live in this ultra-modern times with advanced technology) the time machine and go back and film more scenes with, for example, Bess Motta. Yes, her ! I like Linda Hamilton so much, but her roommate has something about her that is hard to explain. I want to be transported to the '80s as well - Bess represents that decade in such a remarkable manner, obviously. So yeah... more scenes with her and Sarah, i approve even ''soap-opera'' style. Sure, Latin America (Mexico, Venezuela...) is specialized for that, but why not Los Angeles ?

Is there any way to fix this?

Mad Max Fury road variations of mixes
Posted by: Stamper - 2021-02-07, 02:50 PM - Forum: Requests, proposals, help - Replies (7)

Hi guys,

So I was browsing through my Fury Road different editions collection, and I'm kinda confused now about the variation of mixes that can be found on these.

It looks like there are different encoding of the mixes depending on the releases, not all of them sounding the same.

From what I can make up those are the main ones:

- English Dolby TrueHD Audio 5692 kbps  7.1 / 48 kHz / 5692 kbps / 24-bit (AC3 Embedded: 5.1-EX / 48 kHz / 384 kbps / DN -4dB)
- English Dolby Atmos/TrueHD Audio 6077 kbps 7.1-Atmos / 48 kHz / 6077 kbps / 24-bit (AC3 Core: 5.1-EX / 48 kHz / 384 kbps)
- English Dolby Digital Audio 448 kbps 5.1 / 48 kHz / 448 kbps
- English iTunes stereo mix 192kbps AAC

However browsing the web, I find instances of those listed there and there:

- English Dolby Digital + 7.1 E-AC3 1536kbps
- English DTS-HD Master Audio / 7.1 / 48 kHz / 4687 kbps / 24-bit (DTS Core: 5.1 / 48 kHz / 1509 kbps / 24-bit) labeled as "original" so no re-encode
- English Dolby Digital + 5.1 640 kbps
- English Dolby Digital 384 kbps

What are they? I assume the last one is an extraction from either the Atmos or the True-HD tracks, but are the others encodes (or embeds) that appears in foreign territories? I muxed both the DD 448 and 384 in one file, and they sound completely different, the 448 one being superior sounding.
