Hi everyone!
I’m Tekwiz, a fan editor and passionate media restorer. I’ve been working on fan edits like feature-length cuts and fixes for shows like Doctor Who, focusing on improving pacing, video quality, and the overall viewing experience. I also do some movies too!
I’m excited to join FanRestore and look forward to sharing my projects, learning from others, and connecting with fellow fans and editors here.
Cheers,
Tekwiz

Beauty and the Beast (1991) Work In Progress JP LaserDisc Domesday Duplicator
Posted by: WDW203 - 2025-06-12, 03:06 AM - Forum: Released - No Replies

This is project is sourced from the Domesday Duplicator capture of PILA-1232 that was uploaded here by archiver44444: https://archive.org/details/bb-wip-jpn-ld-ddd
The video was decoded as NTSC. The English digital audio track is provided both at 44.1khz for authenticity and 48khz for compatibility. The Japanese analog track was decoded at 48khz.
The captions were decoded as SCC files and converted to SRT. The video was loaded into AviSynth and processed with "bifrost(interlaced=true).tfm().tdecimate()". The sides were synced and
joined in Adobe Premiere. The video was compressed with Handbrake. The audio was converted to .flac with eac3to.

"Reservoir Dogs" open matte 1.78:1 regraded
Posted by: Beber - 2025-06-09, 02:30 AM - Forum: Released - Replies (3)

Hey, guys.

Today, I propose to you "Reservoir Dogs" open matte 1.78:1 regraded to the French Metropolitan 1.33:1 DVD.

It's essentially a regrade to the French "open matte" DVD based on one single correction that worked pretty darn good on the whole film to look close enough to the DVD and with consistency. The following is the one shot used to colormatch the whole thing:

Video sources: 1080p open matte AMZN WEB-DL and French Metropolitan 1.33:1 AR DVD for color reference. It's synced to the UHD.
Audio sources: English PCM 2.0 (Laserdisc), English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 (UHD), English dts HDMA 5.1 (Metropolitan Blu-ray), English Dolby 5.1 (TrueHD core), French PCM 2.0 (French Studio Canal original DVD - Dolby 2.0), French dts HDMA 5.1 (Metropolitan Blu-ray), audio commentary (Metropolitan Blu-ray).
Subtitles: French (Metropolitan Blu-ray), English (UHD), English SDH (UHD), French for commentary (Metropolitan Blu-ray).

AVAILABLE TO REGULAR MEMBERS, THAT MEANS NO NEWBIES, ON DEMAND until July 8, 2025.
