I am releasing an open source VST3 plugin for decoding several flavours of Matrixed Stereo audio, it is based on the Foobar DSP Freesurround but with improvements, bass management was a big bottleneck in the original implementation in regards to latency so that was rewritten to make this plugin something you can use to decode your dolby surround, old school prologic and prologic II movies and games in real time.
It's still a work in progress but it should help people without avrs.

It was tested on the VST3 fork of Equalizer APO and Reaper.

A dedicated and more user friendly standalone version is in the works.

Again, the code is wide open and commented through hell and back so I urge you to bring your talents to it because the dream is to have a tool that everyone here can use in future preservation projects, think Fantasia 1940 Laserdisc mix but with discrete channels this time around

Hello all! Brand new to all of this, really. Didn't even know this forum existed until yesterday. But over the past 9 months I've gotten more into fan restorations than I ever was before, and I figure it's about time I joined a community of likeminded people. Glad to be here!

MagnumSky here! I’ve been lurking around the fan preservation scene for a while and finally decided to create an account and jump into the community.

My interest in preservation comes down to a deep appreciation for theatrical authenticity original color timing, raw 35mm/70mm film grain, and unaltered audio mixes. Modern studio DNR and revisionist color passes just don't cut it on a big screen!
I run a dedicated Jellyfin library (my "Celluloid Vault") feeding a 4K projector, so I’m always on the lookout for pristine theatrical scans that preserve the cinematic experience the way it was meant to be seen in theaters.

Excited to learn more from the community, keep up with ongoing projects, and support the incredible work you all do here!
