Recently have started doing audio captures with my LD-V4300D, but I am only capable of capturing it via RCA connected to my Marantz PM5004. The outcome is great audio, but quiet. Therfore I would want to ask you what is better, to already capture with gain, or to normalize after the whole recording is done?

Well I can only say what I and others have seen but older LD tracks (early 90s and 80s) seem to be mastered at a different gain/volume then later LDs and modern tracks. In those case I just add some gain, usually 8DB or some such.
