You had them at one time? Would have probably have asked for you to the JPN Universal True HD Audio.

I was thinking of getting the old JPN disc. Is there a reason the True HD audio is something of interest?

Actually to add it to the collection of audio. I wonder how the video of the first JPN BD from Universal and audio of the Lionsgate/Paramount BD fair combined. If we can’t get the CD with the original DTS theatrical mix nor LD DTS mix, Hey give us one more lossless option.

I don't have the ld audio anymore but I wouldn't mind adding the missing audio to it and Normalizing the audio. Not sure why studios do this it's annoying having to turn ur Amp up to max volume.

BTW this project isn't done yet. Its about half way. I just say that since I've had a few people ask for a copy.

With analog audio, the louder the source, the more it covers up any analog hiss or noise providing better signal to noise ratio.
With digital, there is no noise so the audio level can be at a minimum and still be completely clear.

In the years since the introduction of digital audio, there has been the 'loudness war'. Even though media is now almost entirely digital from start to finish, in order to make content stand out, they boost it to the maximum... and then use dynamic range compression in order to make even the soft sounds loud (and sometimes the loud sounds clip). Heck, even 'lossless' tracks tend to just be louder since 99% of people cannot, under controlled conditions, tell lossless from lossy audio.

It's stupid, crazy, and there is no good answer, but needing to turn up your amp is the least of the damage they can do to an audio track.

Sometimes the best thing is the wait. This project is probably going to be more in line with the first JPN Release but not really. Grainyness is still on the US Blu-ray but as not much as fans would like. Still take your time, And if any new developments like you find the Cinema DTS or LD DTS tracks this might be One of the biggest project you have undertaken.
