I no longer have any idea what the best mix actually is

2.0 LD
5.1 DVD
5.1 Blu-ray/HD-DVD (Universal)
2.0+4.0+5.1 Blu-ray (Arrow)
DTS:X UHD Blu-ray (Universal)

Enlighten me

I've been gathering a bunch of soundtracks to sync with the new UHD, so I might be able to answer that in a bit.

So far I have the

WS LD PCM 2.0 (my guess as to the best-going to have to create two versions of this)
Sig LD PCM 2.0
Non-Anamorphic NTSC DVD DD 5.1
CE NTSC DVD DD 5.1
Arrow BD
Shout BD

I might have one or three HD-DVD of the Thing somewhere in my... Uhm... Pile of movies... According to my dvd profiler I own the UK HD-DVD, the NL HD-DVD and the US HD-DVD (last one has French 2 channel DD+)

The PCM track on the Signature LD is a fold-down of the 5.1 mix on the AC-3 track if I'm not mistaken. Does the LD AC-3 have mono surrounds? If so it may be another instance of the 4.1 70mm mix that was on the Shout/Arrow

Sadly I have no access to my HD-DVD now, but I have a DTS converted version if it could be of some use! Just drop me a PM.

I think I also have the HD-DVD somewhere, I can probably get the DD+ if no one else can (assuming my copy isn't rotted).

Thanks for all the offers of the DD+. I managed to find my old rip (and the old Universal BD) of it so I have that now.

Also thanks to MrBrown who sent me some other tracks. Is there anything I might be forgetting?

The 4.1 mix from the Shout/Arrow is the best imo. PDB, if you do sync it to the UHD... I'd be very happy

If you all end up deciding that another mix is even better, then I'd be thrilled to hear that as well.

PDB, will you also be syncing the uncensored JC & KC commentary. Would be much appreciated.
