For a fair comparison, you'd need to make a BT.709 conversion of the colorspace (if that is possible!), 'cause those prics are from a UHD Blu-ray HDR.

Image looks completely different if I play just the file, or the complete Disc... Damn... when playing the Disc, PowerDVD does not want to make any screencaps... EDIT: That really seems no easy task to make an adequate screenshot from an UHD HDR10 source... Someone any ideas. I tried PowerDVD17 Ultra and MPC so far...

Okay, thanks a lot, that's close to the "play without HDR" setting of PowerDVD, but still does not nail it completely. But I think it is the closest I will get at the moment.

How are you finding UHD so far MrBrown?
2018-03-25, 11:14 PM
I have no capable display, and the PC seems not to be able to bring HDR to capable TV (tested with a friends UHD HDR TV), but even downscaled and to normal color range the UHD seems really nice.
I think, next time I need to buy a new TV for my home, I jump on the UHD HDR display train. Along with a Player. Using my (few) UHD BDs on my PC is a bit a pain in the ass: I have a PC, that is able to read UHD BD discs, but not capable of playing UHD Video, and I have a PC that is capable of play UHD Video, but not able to read the UHD BD discs.

I watched it on Arte, I feel the face replacements during the canal chase are obvious they look cartoony, especialy the shot when the bike goes down in slow motion, and the explosion. The side replacement when Arnie picks up the kid is OK, alas the color correction doesn't match.
Interestingly, on the LDs, the face of Arnie when the bike goes down look real, much more real than this obvious face paste digital trick.
