Wasn't there also an US LD with the Fake Chace Stereo? MAybe the french DVD preserved that Chace english "stereo" track, and also they tried a french one. Would love to get my hands on that disc..

Here's another one! I didn't realised until I put it on, I got another copy of The Terminator Image DVD from 1997...
This one as no barcode on the spine, instead of being dated 1997 it's dated 1999 and has an animated menu! The original one had still menus. I presume it's the version where Cameron made them revert the 2.1 audio mono to 2.0?

Insert some rambling and ranting about not being able to obtain that 2nd Image DVD ever here. I knew there where 2 runs on the image DVD, but I never ever was able to obtain the later Disc myself. I think they even changed it to 1.0 on one of the two runs. I think one of them has the icon for 1.0 mono audio on the back, the other has "mono" in words on it. There where slight differences in that area on the back, according to fotos I saw of the backsides. YOU ARE SUCH A LUCKY GUY!

OK the original 1997 disc is WAMO press, ID3949 1 A WAMO VB04 MS1S11
The 1999 disc is WAMO press ID3949V2.1A VA01 You're right, on the back of the repress there's the 1.0 sign next to the mono listing.

I never got the jewel case version of that Image disc, is it another reprint?

I think it is just a repackage/reprint of the more common image dvd release. I think at the Beginn Ing of DVDs the companies where not sure on what type of package they want to go. I just have few DVD jewel case release.
Another try from some companies where DVD in CD jewel case boxes. (I have some German early DVDs, a Hong Kong bootleg and the Japanese Terminator 2 first DVD in small CD cases.)

By the way, when I had the UK version of the Blu-ray it started at the Orion logo as opposed to the MGM logo. (Or at least the rip I had made started there) What is your startup?
