I boosted the DB by +6 in audacity
it sounds better than the blu ray audio - much more bass
you can hear the background music much clearer in the scene where knox meets b. wayne

The LD pcm and flipper dvd 5.1 are from the same source with much more low end than the 5.1 on the se dvd and bd. I discovered this a few years back and have no idea why it happened unless one is 35mm and the other is 70mm.
However I think the newer track is likely a remix as it has a different sound signature and the 70mm Dolby was mono surround and likely identical to the 35mm Dolby Stereo.
I much prefer the old mix. Definitely keep the flipper dvd 5.1 as it’s a discrete rendering of the pcm. It’d be nice to have both with this release.

That's back when I didn't boost the sounds on my caps. So Batman is at the line level volume from the optical cable. Nowadays, especially for projects, I make sure all the tracks are close in volume/gain/etc.

The bit-perfect source is always the same volume though, correct? As it's saved on the original LD.
When you boost, do you boost by 6dB increments to avoid rounding errors?

Yeah it's bit perfect so it's as transparent to the original as possible including volume. But that file has been edited and converted from 44.1 to 48 so a little off from the source.
