[proposal] Lost in Space (1998) regrade

I don't think the TV spots using the Stargate soundtrack did because some of those contained deleted SFX scenes (like the Jupiter 2 flying through an ice caveh

I may confirm that all those trailers and TV spots are on LD but not on DVD/BD, as well as the blooper reel (which is not reported in the LD cover), plus if I'm not wrong, a 10m making-of.

A strange thing occured... I've found a French HDrip (1920x800) which has NOT the BD colors, but very close to DVD ones: https://diff.pics/tUTHBaiNvZqn/1
I'm pretty sure the BDs all around the world use the same master - I've checked data of various editions, and they all have the same audio tracks, and I've also checked screenshots, all the same...

Now, I have proof there is at least a 720p HDTV recording - which has colors and framing very close, if not identical, to this so-called HDrip; so, there are two possibilities, first, it's from a 1080i HDTV, second, there is a different BD around - can't think of a third option for the moment, as no D-Theater nor HD-DVD exist AFAIK.

So, if it's the former, project could be started; if it's the latter, don't know... in this case, both BD versions should be compared carefully, to find out if the one with newest color grading is better; I should add that there is no Italian nor French tracks on BD - and Spanish is just 2.0, so a multi language version could be handy.

Opinions?

HDrip 1080p Vs HDTV 720p: https://diff.pics/HguJf9fL7pPv/1

colors are practically the same, while framing is a bit different - more image on sides on HDrip, more top bottom on HDTV.

It's not impossible that HDrip is taken from another HDTV broadcasting; it is also not in sync with the BD, but this is not a proof of the fact it could be taken from another BD version, but which one?!?
I should also add that, along with the 5.1 AC-3 English track, there are two 2.0 AC3 French track, one Canadian 192kbps, and one French 448kbps (the same found on the French DVD 5.1 AC-3 track)... maybe it's the Canadian BD?

The plot thickens, here too...

It seems there are three masters around: BD, DVD, and an HD used for HDTV and another version - that, at this point, I suspect it's from a web download, probably Vudu:

(I must add that HD framing opens up after few frames, no it's not as cropped as it can seems)

Don't know how high the original bitrage could be but, as for the most other so-called HD it is quite limited, it would be a lot lower than BD, hence *maybe* the project could go on, what do you think?
