Another less-than-masterpiece-but-a-guilty-pleasure-for-someone scifi flick which suffer of the dreaded teal&orange syndrome on BD: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&...17&i=8&l=0
Not that BD colors are that bad - indeed, they are more vibrant and alive, but the question is, are these colors more theatrical accurate than the DVD ones? Don't know, but to have an alternative is better than not have it IMHO... still, a poll is set, say your opinion!
A note: the Italian DVD I got is the one with more image, so it should be the best version to use as color reference.
Options:
Cinema DTS track
LD DTS, AC3, PCM tracks

I say yes, why not. It's a stupid movie to be sure but a fun dumb watch for me and the DVD's colors are unique enough to be worth it. That plus the Cinema DTS and LD DTS would be great.

Thanks! I know is far from a masterpiece, still fun in a way - apart that monkey-like horribly rendered alien... still, with all those deleted scenes reinserted it might have been a bit (just a bit) better... maybe!
I wonder if the Cinema and LD DTS share the same mix - I'm pretty sure it's the case.

I enjoy the movie up until they crash and then it gets very plodding. Before that its fun, brainless stuff.

Any difference with the Canadian BD which I think is sourced from a HDTV master (its 1080i). I have both of them in my collection so I could have a look when I got a chance? (BD drive busted so can't take screenshots sadly

Really? It could be; just give it a try, you'll find easily the difference in some shots - like when Weir is in the green corridor; colors are quite different, like framing.
Eagerly waiting for your comparison - even if only written, I'll trust you!

Thanks to markymark for the German audio track!
Now we need the Spanish (BD, AC-3 5.1 640kbps 2.0 ?kbps => DVD, AC-3 5.1 448kbps) and the French (PAL DVD, AC-3 5.1 448kbps) ones. EDIT: found!

You might also want to preserve the uncut blooper reel which is an easter egg on the Laserdisc (very last chapter after the special features on side 3) The blooper reel was edited on the DVD / BD editions.

There's a chunk of trailers and a making of on the LD as well. I don't know that all of them made it to the DVD in complete form either.
