So I'm hearing a lot of love for waterslides' laserdisc?
I like both for totally different reasons. I do like the blue of the DVD, seem to fit with Die Hard, when I think of the movie but also does seem a little video-y like CSchmidlapp said. The French LD looks a like more film like especially since I have seen a lot of green-ish 35mm prints but does seem a bit too desaturated. Its funny how much the French LD's luma matches the BD. I can put this on this of projects. I already have the PCM ready to go. waterslides: Is DH or DH3 from prints also? bigrob: how does your VHS compare to any of this? Edit: posted the same time as you Chew, maybe I can do both at the same time.....

^ Only if you have time and inclination! I'd be interested in watching the result, but I'm not desperate for a regraded DH2. Friends of mine would get far more mileage out of it! :-)

Could someone make a clean version of the closing shot so the French closing credits could be easily recreated in HD?

It would be great to get a better version of DH3. It's a personal favorite of mine
 Its never really looked good on home video. I wonder if it's to do with not having access to the original materials, from what I remember DH3 was produced independently with FOX and Disney handling distribution only. Anybody no more of the story around this? I had both distributors versions on VHS and I remember there being differences in the way they looked even then, beyond just NTSC and PAL colour differences.

That's where the flatter and brightened DH2 look came form, and I felt the BD was a good improvement by having more of the look of the THX transfer. But I've never seen it projected so I cannot tell for sure.
