Film logo preservation and talk thread
Excuse the double post, but thanks to Arrow's "Excalibur" there is now an HD source for the original Orion logo in 1.66:1!

Anyone know if this particular closing logo for New Line is on any UHDs/BDs?

This one can be found in flat on Rollerball, but the scope version which is positioned farther back can be currently found in 2k on the Scorpion Releasing BD of The Killer Elite.

So the 4K for Return of the Pink Panther is just the modern Universal intro, would anyone be able to send me the intro from The Killer Elite please and I'll get working on custom intros for all 5 Panthers?

SpaceBlackKnight,

On both Revenge and Strikes Again wasn’t it the first medium/darker blue variant like this one:

which I used on my own custom ones with added delayed profile 8 dv using dovi tool (after cutting mgm/newer ua logos using lossless cut) rather than the second lighter/medium blue variant on Convoy.

Please confirm which is correct as what I have read says medium/darker blue.

Also on Returns couldn’t find the Scorpion release of Killer Elite so used an ai upscaled HDR version of this scope one on Youtube:

Again, please confirm if this is correct and if not where can I grab a correct scope one from as the t logo appears on the other side of the youtube one I found.

Meanwhile, The Pink Panther Strikes Again and Revenge of the Pink Panther, as well as 1978 reissue prints of The Pink Panther, A Shot in the Dark, and Return of the Pink Panther, had this variation which was in use from 1975-1980.

This one can be found on the StudioCanal/Kinos 4ks of Convoy.
