Awesome, I'm very much looking forward to this. Hope I can find a way to order in Germany soon.

Just sampled the Criterion BD, and holy shit, finally, justice has been done to Silence of the Lambs!

The DS mix is included and it has the powerful bass when Claris descends to the dungeon, absent on the 5.1, and the picture looks gorgeous!
It very much replicates what I experienced when I saw it in 35mm.
Highly recommend!

Hopefully, it will replicate mine from a few months ago...

Well, it doesn't match my memory of the 35mm print. It lacks cyan and orange warmth. Orange warmth especially in the airfield scene and the ones that follow in the building where Hannibal's being detained, the one with the elevator. Even though Tak Fujimoto supervised the transfer, it looks too dull.

I'd like to see how this old Criterion looks.

Agreed with you Beber. Saw a screening about a year ago and remember a lot of cyan, particularly in Hannibal's cell. Was surprisingly saturated movie that's never really been justice.

Sounds like a candidate for a regrade project, at least with some blanket LUT. I wanted to do an extended version anyhoo, maybe that might be a nice thing on top.

Does anybody here have and is willing to share the old Criterion CaptainSolo was talking about?
EDIT: I see it's on the Spleen. I'll have to get that.
