Sorry I’m kinda late to this thread. About two years ago I checked out a version on MySpleen that had (I believe) the LD track synced to the BD. Compared to the ripped Image DVD file I had on my Mac my ripped version sounded a bit crisper. I too have the Image DVD if needed. Note it does open with the Hemdale logo so the Orion jingle may have to be spliced in from a different source. And yes I did point the difference between the Image Mono and the MGM mono.

I think I prefer the MGM Mono audio since the Image audio is uncomfortably dominant on the left channel for some reason despite there being audio coming out of both channels.

I used the version from MySpleen for that comparison video. The Image DVD is a tad crisper. Maybe if I get time one of these days I’ll do a second comparison video comparing the Image LD and DVD mono and the MGM DVD Mono.

This is a rough, rough test. I screwed something up but it gives you the idea of the difference between the BD and VHS. In this case the regrade is using the luma from the BD but chroma from the VHS. The police station scenes are much bluer than on the BD but something like the next "future flashback" when the photo gets burned is much greener than the BD.
