[In progress] Hellraiser (1987) [Project: Celluloid]
I actually read Jonncarptenterfan's original post about Hellraiser awhile back, thinking that his 35mm scans  looked wonderful and maligning the fact I'd probably never get to see the film like that, so I was bloody delighted to tangentially stumble my way onto this thread last night.

Have to say that I am really impressed with the work you've done so far Lucas, and I look forward to keeping up with your progress!

Being a huge Barker fan I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. I loved this film so much that I actually bought the rental VHS version for £70 when it was first released!

Well, technically, it came out a while back actually. It's still labelled as In-Progress since I've never quite been super happy with the results and I'm still waiting out for a laserdisc rip of the Deluxe Collector's Edition to make a new version to reference off of but that's not likely to happen for a while at this point, unfortunately. If you want though, I gotta see if I can dig up an old download link

So I recently asked Sporv again on the topic of the LD rip and unfortunately amidst the Covid-19 mess outside it'll take a while to get back to me on that.

Is this project still in progress or is it already completed? The reason is that I find two threads about Hellraiser.

One person I know has a print of this film full of dirt, scratches, damaged frames, cue marks... but I imagine with a color grading like the original theatrical release.

But as I have stated here:

https://fanrestore.com/thread-3486-page-5.html

Hellraiser is a British film, first released theatrically in the UK and distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors. A week later, New World Pictures released this masterpiece in the United States. On UK prints must appear this logo:

Probably the original British version also has different end credits, here we can see that New World Pictures appears on American prints:

The original UK cinema version was completely uncut, in other countries some scenes were censored specially when Julia kills her first victim.

Can anyone tell me which logo appears here?

By the way, New World Pictures appears in the last reel (end credits)?

It was an uncut UK print.

As for this project, I'll probably revisit it whenever the UHD Turbine release comes out.

And does this UK print fully match (in all shots) any of the Blu-ray releases? I mean Arrow, Anchor Bay, Image Entertainment, Studio Canal and Turbine Medien.

I'd be very grateful if anyone can confirm if this UK print has that Entertainment Film Distributors logo, as it is said everywhere, and can upload a still of it if it does. We can find that logo on Youtube but I think it's a reconstruction, not the original and I'd like to compare it. If this print doesn't have it, I'll move heaven and earth (never better said) until I get it. This is one of my favourite films. By the way, it seems that "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" was also not distributed by New World Pictures in the UK. That is another thing I have to confirm.

If you have doubts about a particular scene, I will try to get at least some images of the print from the person I know. Even though it's damaged, I think it can serve as a reference for many things. Count on me if you need help when you revisit the project.
