Yeah, it looks as if could be a problem related to interlaced chroma. VirtualDub always used to mishandle interlaced chroma. I don't know if the recent builds of VirtualDub2 have addressed this.

Well at least I found it before I got too far and its still useful enough for patching after a little blurring.

I think I have that and its the AXN/logo OM. From looking at it, its really 1080 progressive at 50fps and mediainfo is wrong. It seems MI incorrectly IDs PAL speed media as interlace pretty frequently. It seems the AXN/logo runs at 25fps while doubling frames to bring the fps to 50p. I used SelectEven() AssumeFPS("ntsc_film") in avisynth to bring the footage back to 1080p/23.976. Does that jive with what other people have seen or am I way off?

Mine is logo-free. I may still have the AXN one somewhere, or maybe I ditched it when I got the logo-free one.

Hmmm then maybe it is truly PAL speed interlace. Maybe that explains the 1080p no logo’s wonkiness.
Regardless, if I can find that no logo 1080i I can properly IVTC it. Or it’s blended madness and I’m out of luck.

The AXN HD should be 25fps progressive encoded as interlaced, like virtually all PAL movie DVDs. That 50fps value is not in the MediaInfo log of decent versions of the cap, so **if** the log is from the same cap, I suspect that someone messed up when remuxing.

This is only a screenshot, unfortunately I did not receive this version, but in the coming days I was promised other records, later I will write more.
