No, the black border, unless I'm mistaken, is always on the left side of the picture. Either the scope image we see is not complete, and they forgot to properly reframe the shots, or it was shot scope with a wider left and right coverage (like The Great Escape) with intent to only use 2.39:1 part of the frame.

Does anyone have LD audio captures for First Blood and Rambo III? I am wondering how they compare to the LD 2.0 tracks on the new UHD discs.

They are also converted to 48 kHz instead of the original captures which are 44.1 kHz. Obviously for compatibility purposes.

I have the original captures attached to the 4kult encodes myself somewhere in my collection but am not an expert on the differences so will leave it to one of the audio experts here to chime in once they have had time to check before I go looking for them to add to the new encodes. I do like the new Lionsgate’s picture quality though, appear to have better grain retention, especially on the first two.
