I think they (HBO) will.
They'll do anything Zack envisions to do and Zack will make sure it's an entirely different movie with a different aspect ratio.

Did he explicitly say 1.43:1? Or just "IMAX"? Because these days at least online many people just mean full 16:9 when they say IMAX. Like the "IMAX" Dark Knight and DKR Blu Rays.

It will not be 16:9, more like 4:3.

In the video linked by @Hitcher, he clearly talks about 1.43:1, "a big fucking square". I can only hope you're all right in saying HBO Max will grant his that. I don't care if they crop it, as long as they give the option to watch it in proper IMAX.
